New Update Allows Control of GoPro, Lights, and Music from Wahoo Bike Computer
Wahoo has rolled out a software update enabling users to manage their smart bike lights and music player directly from their Wahoo bike computer. With GoPro control soon to be added, cyclists can anticipate even more convenience and control on their rides.
Through the software update, users can now toggle connected devices on and off and switch between modes using the buttons on their Elemnt Roam or Bolt bike computers. Wahoo has also expanded compatibility with third-party training apps, offering cyclists more options for structured workouts. Additionally, the introduction of Dark Mode enhances screen visibility in various lighting conditions.
Syncing a GoPro with the bike computer will soon allow cyclists to start and stop recording, capture photos, and adjust camera settings—all from the convenience and safety of their bike computer interface, eliminating the need to fiddle with action camera buttons while riding.
Wahoo users can already take advantage of Smart Light Control, which allows seamless integration with ANT+ compatible smart bike lights. This feature enables cyclists to manage their lights, including turning them on/off and adjusting brightness, directly from their bike computer. For those with smart bike lights lacking a remote, Smart Light Control offers a practical solution for on-the-go adjustments, ensuring optimal visibility and safety during rides.
Additionally, the new Music Control feature enables cyclists to play, pause, skip tracks, and adjust volume directly from their Wahoo bike computer interface, eliminating the need to reach for their phones while riding.
Moreover, Wahoo’s Training Plan Integration now allows users to send structured workouts from various third-party cycling apps directly to their bike computer. With scheduled sessions automatically loading onto the Wahoo device, cyclists can seamlessly follow their training plans, with interval instructions displayed on the screen for easy reference and adherence.
With these updates, Wahoo continues to enhance the riding experience for cyclists, offering greater convenience, safety, and functionality directly from their bike computer interface.
